I recently returned from a 6 week Taxidermy School in Texas (Central Texas School of Taxidermy). After retiring from the Army, I have been looking for my next pursuit and I think this might be it. I really enjoyed doing the habitat stuff. Making rock bases, pedestals, etc falls right in line...
One of my wife's clients has the best trophy room I have ever seen. He has been Sportsman of the year and holds many World Slams, etc. This year he will be donating all of his animals to the Natural History Museum in Houston (I think thats the place they are going). I will get the opportunity to...
I can attest to them being bulletproof. I have 1 particular bag (3 day assault pack) that I have used on 3 deployments and it is still in great shape. I don’t just mean that I carried it around. I have abused it in every way imaginable. From carrying 60-80+ pounds in it over and over to using it...
That was so cool to watch Randy! Marcus and Dan did a great job and got some amazing footage. I am so thankful that I was able to be a part of it. Thanks Randy!!!!!!! I will never forget the experience if I live to be 100

Randy, thank you for sharing who Bernie was to you. I wish I had known him. Sounds like he had a life well lived. That’s all we can hope for and it seems like he did that.
We remember!
I’m taking mine in today at 1:00 pm today to get an estimate for the repairs. I think I blew out my airbags on the Dukes of Hazzard jump. My exhaust is separated before my muffler as well. Guess that’s why you could hear the turbo spooling up so loud. Maybe I’ll tell them to charge it to...
Well hello there Cush! Yes, I’m still alive......somehow. Trying to get my life back together and hunting helps. Let’s share a camp together sometime soon.
In Texas you can (or could) get a motorcycle lisence at the age of 15 (250cc or less). So in 1984, I got a Kawasaki 250cc. I thought I was hot stuff until I his an ice patch on an overpass and totaled it out. It started a love of motorcycles and riding them. I have had one every since.
Looks like you know a thing or two about long range shooting. Was that shot with the 300 WSM (impressive shot) or the 270 (also an impressive shot with the best of conditions).
Ric, I can't wait to see the pics and stories from this seasons Elk hunt. Be sure to give all the details of who you took and how it came about. Well done!
The smile on that young man's face alone is worth the price. It's great when your first vehicle is one that you are that excited about.......not just a beater with a heater. Well done to your sone and to you dad!
