I just finished listening to this podcast. I thought it was excellent. I've become concerned recently, with the sizable price increases of some non resident tags. Its nice to hear someone else is worried that folks are getting priced out of these non resident opportunities. I personally know...
I picked my Ridge 7MM Rem mag. a few days ago. I mounted a new VX3i 4.5-14x40 on it. I wont have a chance to shoot it for a few more days. Hopefully, I make out better than you did.
Hey Pat,
I bought a VX 3i 4.5 -14 X 40 CDS from you, a while back. Any idea when you might get more in? Are you running any deals on any other Leupold scopes right now?
Thanks,
Tom
I've become a fan of heavier barrels. They generally seem more stable and easier to shoot.
How is the trigger on your rifle? I hear they are pretty good, but notice they use Timneys on their custom guns.
Once again, you completely miss the point. More people priced out, less people caring about our public lands. Its very simple. This has nothing to do with application numbers.
Once again, through your sarcasm and arrogance, you prove you really don't give a hoot about NR hunters. Except when...
I sure hope not. I do feel a bit like Nostradamus though.
Of course not. I hear wolf watching is becoming a huge deal. I hear it brings in big money to some towns.
Wyoming, absolutely has some stellar elk hunting. No question in my mind, they will sell out of tags again this year. You and JM77 have made your point, and I agree.
The problem is this. Every year, more regular blue collar hunters are priced out of the game. I know several hunting buddies who...
At $1400 for their "Special Elk License", I've taken a different attitude toward donating money to the Wyoming G&F welfare system. I no longer donate to the Access yes program, or the search and rescue fund. It's bad enough that we are required to purchase a habitat stamp in addition to our...
Beaver trapping is a ton of fun. Hard work at times, also.
I've got to ask. Do you set your 330's on top of the dam, like the picture suggests? I've always set them completely submerged. Just curious.
My mom and dads place was infested with chipmunks a few summers ago. My father was catching 2-3 everyday and dumping them about a half mile up the road. After a couple of weeks, and relocating about 30 of the little rodents, his chipmunk population seemed about the same. He started spray...
You did good Randy. I know the story was about ''The wolves of Yellowstone", but wish they had talked more about the 2000, or so living outside the park. They claim wolf watching brings 35 million to the economy of the Yellowstone area. No mention of the millions spent on elk related recreation...
