M77 .280 rem. Gift
I have same gun in .270 and it shots great groups in 130 accu and 150 nosler part. I shot to 500 yds with ease. Steeley is correct on trigger pull. Very heavy OOTB but any gunsmith can reduce pull by half and your groups will improve greatly with new trigger. -

Browning Hells Canyon Long Range
Just won a Browning X Bolt HC and have to decide caliber to have ordered. I was leaning toward .300 WM others suggested 6.5 or 7MM. Plan to use primarily for elk. Thoughts? Is muzzle break recoil reduction as good as reviews say? -

Whats your 2019 plans
Res SD Elk tags x 3 Slight chance of drawing rifle BH unit. NR apps for NM and WY. Not likely to draw unless i hit a random general in WY. Applying for 3 deer tags will probably draw 2.- Sdhunters

New to site form South Dakota.
Thank you! Waiting on SD elk tag someday. 16 PP in rifle draw and that held me back for going elsewhere for a few years thinking I would draw...now applying elsewhere and figure if I get out of state and SD tag at the same time then how lucky! -

New to site form South Dakota.
Have been a follower for some time and am really grateful for all the information available to new hunters. Have been on a couple of rifle hunts for elk and am really looking forward to archery hunting one soon. Getting a late start in life on elk hunting but feel it is now or never.
