I think for marine application you may want silicon bronze, not brass. I’d check wooden boat magazine or something like that to read up on it and find leads
We’ve added a leftover muzzy deer tag to the menu so our plans will shift accordingly. Exactly how they will shift, I still need to figure out. Hoping to make a scouting trip in the next two weeks.
^^ I’m also curious about rainfall. ^^
Thanks for the pointer! As noted I’ll have to see if it’s tapped for sights, doesn’t look like it. Saw one for sale on that crazy yellow forum recently that also lacked them (an accura iirc)
Hi all, my son has a muzzleloader cow hunt in CO 66 this September and we are new to muzzle loading. We are way behind where I’d hoped to be in our preparations and practice. At this point I have a couple jugs of bh 209 but little else haha.
I’d like to be able to put a scope on it for use in...
I shot montecs last season and recently found John Stallone’s review indicating they are about the worst for accuracy among many broadheads tested. I’m happy to find out my hand torque wasnt the only problem. Am looking for something else this year.
i found his writeup to be useful...
10-4 we will plan accordingly. On past hunts with growing boys I’ve wondered if it was physically possible to carry enough food to get more than a day away from the truck. Looks like we’ll get a chance to put that theory to the test. Exciting!
Awesome, I’m not sure I’ve ever even been at that elevation so it is sure to be a memorable experience! In that case I’d probably try to avoid return trips to the truck camp every night. Thanks
My 12 year old drew the only NR youth cow muzzy tag awarded in 66 this year (the only one applied for too, apparently). I’m trying to decide if we should plan to backpack into wilderness areas for a few days at a time or make day trips from the truck.
I would assume that is going to be...
Looks like I got creeped on 75 archery, I was a point over last year. Unreasonably disappointing... I probably didn’t have time to go anyways. Now I need a youth muzzy cow tag to come through but I’m not very optimistic.
I’ve been in a lot of places but I will say... the Walmart in silver city is s k e t c h y at night. I tend to babysit the vehicle while the boys take care of shopping.
Spend more money, get more tags. It’s like AZ version of the WY special draw, just a little greasier. No I don’t like it either but Azgfd could close the loophole if they didn’t want the money.
I’m tempted to use this as a way to try before buying, but I’ve talked myself out of it so far since the net transaction cost of buying and selling used is less.
Not counting transaction risk, that is. Or risk of damaging them yourself, I suppose. Which is especially nonzero with kids
Wife in so Cal calls from the beach to suggest I try defrosting kitchen sink with her hairdryer. Had to tell her the hairdryer was already employed in the backyard keeping the boat engine from freezing. Went to run some antifreeze in it a few days ago but the raw water impeller was already...
