I know of 3 taken this year over 215" the biggest one hasn't surfaced. I saw pics of it, but he is not sharing them..gross was around 245" -

clean bore vs fouled
just gotten in the habit of running a cleaner patch after every shot and a dry one. Keeps everything consistent. Learned along time ago the noticeable difference not cleaning between shots as it gets harder to push the bullet down.- HUNTNNW

Idaho unit 27 Elk A tag
If you have never hunted in this unit or any mountains Id highly advise not hunting unit 27 for a first time elk hunt. This country is some of the deepest,steepest country the lower 48 offers. Hunting a mere couple miles on foot in here can eat you up. -
