Bucket list sort of hunt for me. I’m ate up with elk now and my hunting pards are about to age out of the game, and not interested in boo. At least they love the Wapiti
I have the same problem with tea. It causes me gout flare ups. At one time I drank a gallon every 2 days come summer time, as did my gout flare ups. Took a long time to link the 2 as tea and gout aren’t routinely linked.
I will certainly verify 0
just one of those what if questions that crawls around my head.
As to repeatability I’ve used the Warne system for 8 years on one rifle having had it on and off at least 100 times. The zero stays put as well or better than my skills. It might be that >400yd shots...
For better or worse I’ve settled on QR rings and Piccatinny rails. My question is this. Can I move the scope back in winter and forward in summertime to account for clothing without POI issues?
My profile picture shows an AB I recovered this past fall. Ribs to under hide near flank 225 yards. He traveled about 20 yards, pleased me as do Partition in 180g
I have had one for a year now, an RMEF Banquet win at that, it is the 32 gun model. It’ll hold 20 long guns nicely, the door organizer thing... I don’t think I’d miss it much. I won’t stick my handguns in the pockets, and I use the pouches only because they are there.
I don’t have any...
Thanks all for your insights. Both the Howa mini and an AR are on the short list. I have time but like to have enough info to jump on one early if the opportunity presents itself.
If I’m not going AR is there really a reason to chase this round? One of these days the kid is going to be needing a rifle to do what kids do, “shoot deers” 😂.
I like the low recoil, fun target gun. I have more faith in it than a .223, sorry but that’s the way it is. The 7.65x39 is another...
Priorities, yes they would like to do the thing but, their priorities lie elsewhere. If everyone hunted the west it wouldn’t be worth a damn.
I’m secretly happy it’s hard. If I want a friend to come badly enough I pay his freight.
My favorite rifle is a Marlin 1895 in 45/70 of course. It’s a hunting machine, it begs to be carried in your hands.
If something absolutely positively has to die I take a T3 Tikka in 300mag and go get it done. As dead reliable as a blacksmiths hammer, with the same beautiful lines. Beauty is as...
I’ve been asked about what’s needed. It can be as complicated and expensive as one wants it to be. I started with hand me down everythin, and precious little of that.
Getting out and doing it is the best start. You’ll figure out what is needed and wanted and how much of your budget should be...
This was taken last Tuesday on Lake of The Woods, MN.
I try to make a trip up there every winter, fishing is pretty good, usually a guys trip but this year finally got the wife to come along instead.
Outdoors first and hunting later describes my experience to a T.
We had an old school Boyscout troop in town. Emphasis was on hiking, camping, orienteering, and woods crafts. I ate it all up, wanting to get even more involved I found hunting.
I’m guessing it is to use the tow vehicle power to charge the trailer battery as well as power the AC while the trailer is attached. Then again I might be miss understanding the question. The other thing that comes to mind is when hooked up to shore power the trailer lights can run for...
Far from being an expert. It has been my experience that as a rule the elk are on the higher side. If >10,000 is available it might very well be worth the effort to get up there.
Every hunt and every season is to be treated as individual but I would err on the top high side.
