    I presume those all went together. Someone was out measuring something, a lion attacked, they got a shot off. Both died and after years those are all that are left in the area. Case closed.

    I forgot about a BB gun. Still have mine.. BB gun was around 8, .22 at 11, SKS at 13. It was the cheapest rifle I could find in my area good enough for deer at the time.

    Ran across this on one of my elk hunts. They were all within about a 50 foot radius... If it was fresher I would have camped out.

    It was annoying submitting my sons apps for points, javelina, bison, deer, turkey, etc. once each, tedious. Would be nice to add all to car then checkout. then I had to submit all my applications, blah. But so much better than the years of mailing apps.

    Sadly the deer are all yours. My wife hates deer meat, and it takes me a while to eat the whole deer myself. So I rarely hunt deer anymore. Thankfully she loves elk.

    I’ve been lucky and only once needed a second round (misjudged the distance on an elk and spined it, then double lung within 3 seconds). But hearing that antelope story made me cringe for the lost animal, and immediately run what if’s in my head. Almost made me think my 10 rounds was too few.

    I’ve had mine for years, the only thing that still smells are the caribou parkas. Musk ox has no smell to it really. I mean technically, yes, everything does, but it doesn’t have a detectable odor to me or mine.
