Scouted the unit over the 4th long weekend. Turned up about 36 bucks Most are up high 9-10,000 feet. Lots of water, every thing is green. Sage has a ton of new growth on it. Yes you can buy a pref. point. They have a code for point only. You have to buy the out of state hunting lic. too. $160 $15 application fee. $175 will buy you a point -

The cooler weather will help you out. The first 4 days we were there it was upper 90's. Then yesterday in clouded over and spit rain and the elk stayed out much later in the morning. Welcome ... I have been getting some good info on the units. Saw the vidio of the hunt randy went on. Also there is another TV show with jason carter hunting the unit out there. Lots of elk, open country, some old burns and PJ habitat. Tons of roads to get aroud too. I've been marking up my maps...
