Texans are proud of their region of the state. I live just west of Corpus and I am torn between Coastal and South. South Texas to me is the brush country of RV. You were/are in the Houston area. Nice job catching some reds. I am hoping to head out to PINS this week, caught some pretty good...
Apps usually take a little bit to show up, but I wouldn't worry about it. I apply close to the draw deadline and my apps show up before they CC update deadline.
There are some over the counter tags, in the metro units and northern units with a lower population density. The southern units are their core habitat and are a drawn tag. But the tags are easy to draw unfortunately that draw is in Oct. You are in luck though. The leftover Javelina tags...
Everything is still packing antlers in AZ in February. The coues rut is in mid January with desert muleys around two weeks before. These dates are prime time for rifle hunting deer in AZ. Only governor and raffle tags can hunt with a rifle in this time frame in AZ besides some reservation hunts...
Haha nope, I have killed bigger bulls in CO but I am not picky. I have seen some good ones though. Two late rifle tags, late muzzy and an early archery in 27. All with no more then 4 points. 80 percent of tags are random and it helps if you have a lifetime license.
Its the Goulds turkey, pretty hard to draw. You can get two points a year plus loyalty and hunters ed, so it was 11 years to get the tag. But I have drawn 4 AZ bull tags in that time.

I have a Kimber classic and the cheaper Hunter model and I prefer their aesthetics over the two Savages I own. The Savage's push action bolt feels much sloppier then the control round feed of the Kimber. I would choose the Kimber over the Savage.
In my 280Ai with a 24" barrel, using RL26 I am shooting the 143s at 3170. I didn't have any pressure signs and can load it faster but I am getting 3/4" group outa of a 6lb rifle. The rifle can probably shoot better but that's the best I can do with a light rifle.

Well I found my next road hunting rig.
Interesting, there is a local chain of fried food called Lucky Wishbone in Tucson, AZ. Mostly known for steak fingers these days but they serve chicken and such. Opened in 1953.
I switched over from diesels to gas a couple of years ago, I never tow anything just a welder in the bed. I have 153K on my 19' ford 6.2L with no major problems. I had a fuel relay go out but that was under warranty. I have two others with just around 100K on them with no problems. I get 12-13...
