Coaches whining because players getting money may cut into their $8 million salaries. The money has been rotting the sport for years but now we care because the poor kids are getting a taste smh
If Lions can run the ball they will win. If they have to abandon the run due to either V defense or falling behind Lions will lose. My money would be they stay close enough in first half to pound vikes on the ground
And for FCS fans - #1 v #2 got upgraded to ESPN2. Sadly we have another iffy Bison team this year so while I will root for green and gold, I would bet on a comfortable rabbits win.
Some really great games on the slate:
Houston v GB
Lions v Vikings
Chiefs v 9ers
Ravens v TB
If you aren’t chasing a tag this weekend, you need to be on the couch.
Broncos have 3 -- that's probably enough for the win. Now folks just have to endure 3 hours of 2yd passes by Nix and flailing by Rattler (and with no receivers to boot) - ick - I will pass
The Mossberg has essentially the same gun called the SA-20 (literally swappable parts), but a few dollars cheaper and often better availability. 20ga gas gun, soft shooting and have proven reliable as I trained up my son and wife. And even though they likely come from the same Turkish factory...
Let's be clear - the season will almost certainly be a disappointment- the only question is how it will disappoint.
If we go turtle like in 2016 and end up 8-9 it will disappoint.
If we go 13-4 and lose in wildcard or divisional round it will disappoint.
If we go to the NFC championship game...
My comments have never been about "good". But if that is the ask, yes he is "good" and I already said he is top 12, hardly faint praise. But "elite" and the "best" and next Montana or Brady are much higher bars over much longer time periods.
In a hard-cap league cost is a big part of...
I watched him in person looked like a confused rookie a few weeks ago in MN - he was clearly outplayed by Darnold (not saying Darnold is better). If folks really want to have strong takes about FB you need to see it live - "follow the ball" TV coverage and predetermined network narratives don't...
On a per dollar basis, without a doubt best value this year. Will be interesting to see how his $60mm/yr contract guts the rest of the team over the coming 2/3 years and whether he can overcome that. My guess is no.
