Ok. Here is what I found out. If you want to print your own tag out go to the Montana wildlife website and log in.
Then go to MYFWP Menu
Click on View my information
Scroll down to "Click on Button to Request copy of your noncarcus tag to be emailed to you".
So you click on that button, check...
If you consider using hammers go to their website forum. Often you will find load data there for the caliber of your choice as well as information with loading them for specific game. It's a great website that's not overwhelmingly large and folks there will be quick to answer any questions you have.
IF you reload get yourself some Hammer bullets and load them in either your 308 or 6.5 Creedmoor. If you don't reload go with either the 308 or 6.5 in a barnes bullet. I suggest Hammers as they can usually be loaded a little hotter, to higher velocities and you can even drop down a little in...
Maybe so, but a Jackass with a muzzleloader would likely only get one shot at a group of deer before they are out of sight. There is also a good chance someone with a muzzleloader would take very careful aim knowing they likely only have one chance.
I think it best too for a landowner to only...
I have only hunted Montana one time (2 years ago) but I didn't feel it was crowded during Bow season. I have however also hunted, Colorado, Idaho and Utah. Don't always assume the farther you go in the less crowded. Bow hunters I feel in general are the more adventurous hunters. I camp on a good...
You might consider Utah since they still offer unlimited OTC/online Archery Elk tags. In general, the Elevations aren't as high as Colorado. You wouldn't necessarily have to pack in or pack in far anyway.
There is a good chance you could get some help with packing out too if you got an Elk.
I'm 72 and enjoy reading threads like this. I put in for Montana this year but didn't draw. I'm thinking to Hunt Utah. I have hunted there before so know the terrain in at least one unit. I love elk hunting but I'm in the same boat as most. My left knee isn't reliable but lately isn't giving...
I have looked at them also. They do seem to have a lot of value features for the money even though they aren't cheap by any means. I would research warranties and compare with say Swarovski. I don't mean the piece of paper that tells you how long the warranty is, I'm talking about researching...
Interesting. LOL
My grandaughter told me that joke a couple years ago. It was new to me when she did but like a lot of things us Older folks are the last to find out.
I told it too a apparently religious gentleman a couple years ago and he seemed to take offense to it. All he heard was a...
Mine also says "Pending" at the top of the page but the info at the bottom of the page is what is important. Scroll down!
Near the bottom, mine say's

I'm not a real drinking man but when I drink a beer, I want a real beer. I live near the East coast so Rainer Beer as far as I know, can't be found for a thousand miles. So when I travel west to hunt I bring back a couple cases which last me several months. I blame it on a fictious person (Walt...
I called the Montana Fish, game and parks a day or two ago and a nice young lady told me I they would be sending checks out at the end of the Month. I assumed they meant this month. Saturday is officially the end of the month, but the government likes to do things on Fridays so maybe they will...
I'm a Elk Combo looser to Montana's draw in a two person party, each with one point.
Question--- Anyone have any Idea when Montana will refund my application money and how they normally do it? Check in the mail or refund my credit card?
Thanks.
I don't recall the one pig I shot smelling bad. Now I have driven by some big animal farms in the south and that fresh country air not smelling especially tasty.
The pig (sow) I shot tasted like good sausage and very little grease cooked out of it. But that's my very limited experience with...
I took my pig to K&S Meats in VA. I think I had most of it processed into breakfast Sausage. I've ate a few lbs but still have plenty to last us for a while. It doesn't produce much grease when cooked. I hadn't thought about the fact that these hogs probably don't have as much fat so maybe not...
