    Canned meat

I add Rotel to some of my canned deer or elk meat. Diced tomatoes and chilies and spices. Have also done it by making beef bullion from cubes and toping off with the bullion. Sometimes I'll make a stew type of meal by using quarts and putting in skinned potatoes and a some mixed vegetables...

"Alone" season 9 premiere tonight May 26

My wife and I were thinking the same thing. He still had what appeared to be some fat around his mid section and his face didn't look like he was starving. His method worked. Think he was starting to lose his mind a bit, but that guy was tough. No fire for a long time either. I think...

    Montana Antelope draw

My wife drew region 7. I'll have her check her email tonight and see if there is a link to print the tag. Wasn't sure if they were mailing them, or making people print.

Same thing here. Turned 47 this year and I'm having trouble reading up close without them. Guess it could be worse.

    Muzzleloader essentials for backpack hunting

I'd bring a bullet puller if you are using a traditional muzzleloader. Otherwise a breach plug removal tool if using an inline.

Loved his "Mountain Car" story. My dad bought me his books for my birthday, Christmas, etc... I really enjoyed his writing.

    Fish for the fryer

Good question. I eat them occasionally as well. I fillet them and fry like I would anything else. To me, it seems like the fillets are small compared to the body size but the flavor is good. @RyGuy Do you do anything out of the ordinary with them ?

    Nosler Partition or Barnes TTSX

I've used both on mule deer and antelope. Both worked well.

What Old/Odd Chamberings Have You Actually Used To Kill Big Game Animals ?

I used a friends WWII K98 8MM Mauser to shoot a deer back in mid 90's. It was a whitetail buck at about 70 yards. Not sure on the ammo. It was a standard cup/core bullet with exposed lead at the tip. The gun had the original iron sights and was brought back from WWII by my friends...
