Fish for the fryer

Good question. I eat them occasionally as well. I fillet them and fry like I would anything else. To me, it seems like the fillets are small compared to the body size but the flavor is good. @RyGuy Do you do anything out of the ordinary with them ?

Yes I agree with you walkathon! They have smaller filets than you’d expect. I think they’re most similar to catfish in texture and taste.

Freshwater drum I believe. They’re tasty, but not quite as good as walleye. I either fry them up in a pan with butter & salt/pepper or deep fry.
