Yeah, I do. One of the only things keeping our whitetail hunting sustainable is the fact that so many of our local hunters go East instead. With our high population and easy access to whitetail, it would transfer a ton of harvest from your Eastern mule deer to Western whitetail. I could see lots... -

If they shorten the mule deer season but leave it open to whitetail in November, our mountain whitetail west of the divide would be decimated. The only way I would be on board with something like that would be if they made you choose your species pre-season, and not have the ability to hunt mule... -

Going off of Boone and Crockett records, only 5 of the top 50 typicals, and 1 of the top 50 nontypicals killed in Montana have come from Ravalli County, and that's with 20 years of the most restrictive buck harvest in the state. I've spent a ton of time in those units, and still the biggest... -

E-Bike legality in Montana.
It certainly doesn't help that almost all the major newspapers in Montana ran an article wrongly stating they're legal to use on "all federal land". I've been shocked at how many of those things I've seen in the backs of trucks this year. Haven't caught one in a wrong spot yet, but it's...- ----

Montana mule deer rut?
Huh, completely different than my experiences. I've been seeing great rut activity in mule deer since Halloween, and that seems normal for my areas in western MT. The whitetail I've been hunting this week haven't shown any sign of rutting. This pictures from today. Hard to tell but he's lip... -
