Whats everyones thoughts on 12v fridges in the USA? down here in Aus nearly every 4wder or camper has a 12v fridge in their car between 40-60ltrs is the standard size.
Watching youtube it appears you all like to favour huge ice boxes and i can relate to that for packing out elk...
So I have been watching lots of YouTube vids on guys going elk and deer hunting and noticed that it appears most of the guys who drive up into the hills dont carry a chainsaw? Is this correct or just magic editing ?

Decided i wanted to make jerky so ordered a dehydrator and then got a 1kg roast. cut it into strips (realised i cut them too thick but oh well)
Looked up a recipe online and did half a cup of soy, some black pepper, salt, garlic, onion, tabasco, whortstirshire and chillflakes and let it marinate...
Spray the whole thing with inox, wood and all. Most of the time the wood is coated with a a waterproof outer layer from factory but a bit of oil never hurt.
Get out and make some memories !
As others have said they are made to be used, I have taken both my perazzi and dt10 duck hunting multiple time in all weather. No different to shooting clays in the rain. Just make sure you dry it out well and slowly do it. Then oil it up well and put away
