    Just working with what we got! I'd rather glass them from a knob and make a stalk, but that doesn't really work in the thick woods where we hunt.

    Neighbors just shot one here. I about jumped out of the tree stand it was so close 😂. Otherwise just gray and red squirrels to keep me entertained. My wife is bringing the kids for a mid morning sit! That should be entertaining.

    I started with 165 bts and 44 gr Varget. More accurate than the factory Nosler loads with the same bullet that I was using.

    I did a separate trip in September with my archery tag. Had some really cool encounters, but nothing quite worked out. To have one last afternoon is a nice bonus. I'm soaking in the views and reflecting on all the ups and downs of this week. It's been a great hunt.

    9.5 mile hike through the blizzard yesterday, and the only Pronghorn we saw were right by the road! Setup near where we have seen them crossing. Hoping they keep up their routine today.

    We stalked into a group of 4, but they semi spooked before we were setup. We spooked a coyote that went the other way and they ran off a ways, but are working back towards us. Pucky is about 30 yards away from me, I can just see his orange. I'm prone in the sage waiting for the boom...
