My first goal: hunt at least one western state, every year, for a decade.
That turned into some amazing experiences and I’ve been admittedly lazy since I’ve achieved it.
My focus has changed a lot over the last 5 years and now I’m more happy to canoe a swamp with a shotgun, troll for salmon...
Been there before, elk came first and never hunted my bear tag. I might be there again this year if I draw Wyoming. Let em grow, In Wisconsin, I guess.
I love every part of hunting antelope. Should be a good time in the right area. I’ve always looked at big antelope like big bears. You kind of just know when you see them. You can look at so many antelope that are just marginally different and then a big boy steps out and you know.
It wont take that long, the wait will eventually start to come down again. It will be around 5-6 points in a couple more years.
Fun opportunity is chasing bobcats with only a couple points in the meantime.
