Need help from public land advocates!

Collaborate with the logging industry to point out the land will still provide economic benefit. Conservation easements which protect the open nature of the land but also enable use like grazing, logging make sense. Good luck!

Commercial Use Permits - Time for States to Step Up?

Less government and end film permits unless it's a true film/tv production project; ie more people behind camera than in front of camera, project over 14 days. Does anyone believe the hordes of TikTok tourists on public lands are getting permits?

Utah ranchers living on public land

Grazing Homestead Act 1916-1976 could have allowed 640 acres if the original rancher or his predecessors since the 1880's had filed. I feel the BLM should grandfather the 27 acres with easement preventing any use except ranching. My buddies dads place on the Hi-Line had buffalo jump, teepee...

    261,000 lease - 27 acre ranch site = .01%. Seems very reasonable.

Only been reading SL-Trib 50 years and watched them degrade into biased liberal rag with circulation less than 2% Utahns.

Utah ranchers living on public land

Great example of why Utah is working to end the Antiquities Act by getting the state filed lawsuit to SCOTUS. The term "the limits of which in all cases shall be confined to the smallest area compatible with proper care and management of the objects to be protected" does not mean 3.2 million...

    Glen Canyon

This is what SL-Trib would like to say - "Damn rural people! Living on the land, producing commodities and cash to provide for others and their families. If they would move to cities, the land could be sold; developed for more housing and we could use the water for new residents! Hopefully...

Access idea re: landlocked public, PILT, and property taxes

Key phrase "public good". Sidewalks, roads, utilities are projects government will pursue eminent domain. Giving you access across private property might be for public enjoyment but it's not essential for "public good". As someone noted earlier; any landlocked public property is the result of...

Access idea re: landlocked public, PILT, and property taxes

There's zero excuse or reason to allow you access to private lands. Again; best to approach from respect and some type of compensation for the landowner.

Access idea re: landlocked public, PILT, and property taxes

Access across private lands best approached with respect and possible compensation to the landowners. The idea of taxation is punitive to simply owning property others covet. How would we all feel if state or local government taxed our homes if we didn't want to allow people through our yards...

What's the process for residents and communities to secede from one state and seek annexation into another state? Large sections of OR, WA should become part of ID. Ditto western CO and northern AZ welcome to UT.
