Just one. Might get a second but always struggle to justify it when I have a 308 that'll do everything I ask of it.
Maybe I'd get a 243 or similar if someone in my life wants to get started on shooting but wants a lighter kicking gun.
Never had too small. Mine is slightly too large since they didn't have my brand. I used a little electrical tape to fix that.
Maybe you could use sand paper to make it fit a little less tight?
I use a knockoff pelican myself. Works great at a fraction of the cost. Haven't had any issues with things getting beaten up. Love the pluck out foam to custom size it for my needs. I put my rifle, bipod, ammo, and spotting scope all in the double case.
To me it's a good middle ground...
I use them for comfort myself. Don't like sleeping in the man made materials if I'm just in my underwear. I use cotton liner in that case so it feels like sheets.
If it's getting cooler and I need to extend the rating of my bag I use the fleece liner. That's bigger to pack so it's usually more...
I stopped shooting at ranges with other people when I noticed a guy sighting in his new scope. His spotter was standing three feet to the side of the target to let him know where he was hitting.
I decided that I didn't really need to shoot that day
Learned something new today. I've seen something similar in SD, but it's for tribal lands sold. Even when the lands are sold outside the tribe, they retain hunting and fishing rights to the land in perpetuity. You have them as well as the land owner, but you can't stop the tribe from walking...
I've never done frozen myself. Only freeze dried with oxygen absorbers.
Getting them to lose air and seal is very difficult with a food saver. The air doesn't like to leave. I usually remove the air by hand, throw in an oxygen remover pack then seal the top with a hair straightener or heavy...
No problem. I use these ones myself. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07D8YKWXN?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
I'm sure your method works well enough, might even work better for boiling around the bag instead of adding boiling water? One big concern I could see with vacuum bags is ripping...
They hold shape when heating. Like vacuum get hot and feel like they would tear easily to me. Mylar don't have that issue, plus I buy the ones that have a base to keep it upright.
Also, vacuum bags aren't oxygen barriers, so they'll always leak over time. Not the case with mylar, but if you're...
Craziest I've seen in my time on the road is a Cadillac Deville towing another Deville up on a car trailer down the interstate doing 75.
Just cause you bought the V8 doesn't mean you can tow....
I kick myself for not getting a picture of that one
I can see that, ya. I would guess even doing that would toe the line more than they want but imo additional information is not a bad thing when trying to make a decision
