I’m curious what your tactic was for hunting them? I’ve seen quite a few while deer hunting but I wouldn’t feel very confident sitting in a stand hoping for one to pass by
Anyone who thinks this will improve nonresident draw odds is in for a surprise if this passes. 84% to 90% of tags to residents = less tags for nonresidents
I wouldn’t walk around with one in the pipe regardless of my rifles safety system. As far as tree stand hunting I really can’t imagine pulling my rifle up to the stand or lowering it out with it being loaded.
Cow moose hunting in Wyoming is tough not because you can’t find a cow but you can’t find one without a calf with it. In Wyoming you can’t shoot a cow with a calf which is why I suspect most tags are filled on a calf.
I bought a 7 mag as my first rifle a little less than 10 years ago. Since then I’ve killed bison, moose, elk, muley, sheep, pronghorn, whitetail, and black bear with it. I’m always looking for a reason to buy a new caliber but I have not been able to justify it yet. I guess that means it’s a...
There’s a prominent hunting personality that runs an outfit in Montana who does not live in Montana. I believe his name rhymes with hemi warren. Nothing personal against him I like his stuff but Buzz is right.
I hunted 52 a couple years ago during the muzzy season and honestly the pressure was as high as most otc hunts I’ve done in other states. With such a short season and high pressure I apply elsewhere now. The crappy draw odds certainly don’t reflect the quality if you do draw but the same can be...
I have one and I really like it. I use the turret for hunting and have had no issues with it. I like it better than a lot of the other brands I have used in the past.
Honestly thought the system worked better than prior years. It wasn’t perfect but that’s also not a realistic expectation with the demand as high as it seems to be.
Lol you can tell it's August when a thread like this pops up. I hope in a couple weeks we are seeing a bunch of dead elk and deer and not going back and forth like panelists on the View.
