So… how accurate can you be with that thing? what range can reliably hit a squirrel head?

    I think I want a pistol

Only shot it once and it’s my first pistol. Very fun but it’ll take me a bit to start feeling accurate I’m sure. But happy with the purchase and I’ll let you know after some more practice. No pics but it’s the base 22/45. https://www.outdoorlife.com/guns/ruger-mark-iv-22-45-review/

trying to make muzzleloader shooting experience more enjoyable/hard to seat bullets

Year old thread, but I started it. Barnes T-EZ solved the hard to load problem and are as accurate as what I was using before. It sits in the safe for now as I have no short term muzzleloader hunt plans, but it shot nice. Thanks for the input.

I might agree with the strategy but probably not with the athletic capabilities. But to each their own!

    Football General Talk

I'm aware I'm barking up the wrong tree on a football thread. But I started playing rugby in HS and never looked back. In football, there's about 7-10 minutes of live ball play out of a 60 minute game that takes 3 hours to watch. Mostly commercials, replays, watching huddles. I still watch a...

    MN DNR in the news

Id like to see the source on that 270 beyond the explore mn website (talking to myself, not you!) as it’s probably simplified. The fish composition in many lakes was altered substantially before any of us were alive, too. But I do think Minnesotans are often surprised by how few lakes have...

https://www.exploreminnesota.com/where-to-catch-walleye-in-minnesota I don’t like getting my biology from tourism websites but at least here’s where that figure is coming from…

    MN DNR in the news

Minnesota stocks walleye in over 1000 lakes and I think RJ is right on that 270 lakes. I’ll have to look it up but it’s close to that and spawning is the issue. They got finicky spawning conditions, and most places in the state don’t have them.

Really hard to get a compliment from Brent when you got a synthetic pump gun in the pic. Speaks to how good the pic actually is!

One in hand isn't always better then two in the bush when you do that! ha. That happened to @BrentD and I a few years ago. We think a hawk or something nabbed one off the roof of the truck between outings. Should be a sixth in this pic. Was the last day of season, and my boy was home injured.

So are those unshot bullets on the left in both pictures, and then all recovered from game on the right (did you shoot that moose 4 times?)
