    Momma showing the little one the salad bar. Watched several turkey hens and their poults for a few hours Sunday until one became dinner for a hawk. Saturday work, tried to get my mind off elk... until Thursday!

    We've got two guys in our group whom have never harvested an elk, my no.1 goal is to be there to help and see the look on their face(s) when they walk up to their first harvested elk, priceless! Just being in the mountains spike camping with good friends, the smell of elk, the sounds of bugles...

    Strangely in late Aug. here its green, usually pretty dried up at this time with grass dormant, not this year. And early this morning between 4am-8am we got dumped on with 3.1" at my place.
