I am in the same boat with archery but for 48. From what I understand there are lots of elk. Will be fun to hunt with a rifle but with a bow hunters mindset.
Dan, I have a cimarron and am wanting to buy a stove. I was thinking about getting a large stove. Also, deciding between the U turn and regular. Would consider getting the U turn for any other reason than weight savings?

I am pretty broad through the shoulder so mummy bags naturally don't work well for me. But mummies are usually lighter than a rectangle bag. The idea of a quilt intrigues me. Nice and versatile. The Convert or something like it seems wide enough to not make me feel like I am getting strangled.
Which transporter did you go with? I’m glad to know that is an option. How much did it cost to rent? Could 3 guys fit in it/fit in a plane with it? I do think the alpackarafts are awesome but yes, a motor is sure nice. Thanks for the info!
