    Better than a gender reveal

Much appreciated. Any suggestion on anything out of the way for camping down below the 260?

    Better than a gender reveal

That would be great, I’m a bit more used to the arid side of the west being from San Diego. It’s those September hunts in Wyoming that throw me for a loop, 80 degrees one day and snow the next. If I learn anything helpful I will let you know. Going to see if there’s a packer in the area myself

Thanks I’m stoked to get after it. Worst part is how long until November rolls around.

Thanks I’m stoked, haven’t been this excited for tag since probably my first one 10 years ago!

    Better than a gender reveal

With Arizona results going back and forth and me losing interest because I never draw I was shocked when I got a letter in the mail revealing I got a 6a late rifle tag. This is my first “big” tag and I’m psyched to give it a go. It’s also my first bull elk hunt, so I’m really looking forward to...

That must of been a pack-out. Great bear

    First-hand experiences of women hunters

Great passage on the brain’s recognition of patterns and generalizations. It’s an evolutionary byproduct and we see it in tons of areas and a reason why a good portion of the population fears snakes, even those that are harmless.

    First-hand experiences of women hunters

You bring up probably the most important point. Those old guard and bro types treat everyone like that. I’m sure I’m not the only one that avoids that type both on and off the mountain because we’ve had similar experiences to those shared in the article. Hearing some of those stories made me...

    Hunting partner/mentor SoCal

One piece of advice is that for the vast majority, animals are put together the same. So breaking down a rabbit vs a deer is very similar.… maybe practice small

CO or WY 14 points Deer (2021)

Agreed. Wyoming was decent last year but CO has too much change going on not to get in there sooner than later. That’s what I’m doing.

Appreciate you weighing in. Is there much a difference to you between the affinity and benelli?

    Why not? Barrel too short?

    Upland Semi-Auto shotgun recommendations.

It does but she has trouble with the breach, my thought is the semi poses the friendliest shotgun for her. The other reason I like the idea of a 20 over 12 is the sound difference. I typically don’t wear earplugs unless I’m waterfowl hunting because I hate the sensation of hiking with em and...

I like your idea on the 12 but my dream is to have the mrs out enjoying it as well and would like to have something she feels comfortable shooting as well.

    Upland Semi-Auto shotgun recommendations.

I am currently running a CZ Sharptail SS 20 gauge and enjoy it. That being said I plan to add to the quiver and am Leaning towards the franchi elite in 20 gauge. Goals are a lighter gun I can throw a strap on so I can take it for long arduous walks, I’d like the mrs to be able to shoot it for...
