Stuff you don't like for no good reason

Not a chevy / ford thing.. More like a Leupold scopes / BSA scopes thing. I mean, this BSA has 4.4 Stars on amazon so it must be good!

    A Proper Sheep Rifle

I do enjoy how his writing is almost structured like a poem. Each short statement a new line.

    A Proper Sheep Rifle

mtmuley must a be another guy that Tyler Freel doesn't give a shit about but Tyler doesn't waste his key strokes to tell us what we already know.

    A Proper Sheep Rifle

Another beautiful rifle @ismith I feel like we're being trolled by north country guy.. Tyler Freel used a little pea shooter 22 ARC on his bull this year. There are plenty of others doing similar.

    Ballistic Help

Maybe if you had 900 yard zero it'd still be rising.. but no. It's not a ballistics issue.

    Ballistic Help

The turret markings are irrelevant if he adjusted it 4 clicks/ 1 MOA up.

    Ballistic Help

Possible culprits: 1. Your scope does not adjust properly. Could be a boogered scope, could be how it’s mounted that binds up the erector. 2. You lost zero moving between the 2 locations. Could be a scope reliability issue. Could be a mounting system reliability issue (are those talley rings and...

    Someone got lucky

That was my first thought.. The bull attached to that would take up a lot of cooler space. I can get by with 1 or 2 hunters and just a crew cab + 6.5' box but an elk rack is probably going to be riding on top of stuff in the bed! That's one sweet bull though with big matching split 5ths!

    Ballistic Help

What was the size of your groups at 250 and 300 yards? Were you shooting from the same position (I.E. prone on both)?

Most definitive way to determine scope failure

Interested to see what the gunsmith says.. Was rifle bedded? No barrel contact anywhere?

Guidance on choosing a new barrel or new rifle

Using a double based or ball powder on those loads? I haven't had it happen but I primarily use pretty temp stable powders and dont usually have rounds sitting in a hot chamber for too long. Makes sense that it could happen!

Guidance on choosing a new barrel or new rifle

Risk over-pressure from a hot barrel? Have you observed issues with that from rounds cooking in the chamber? Depending on how many rounds you're wanting to shoot, heavier barrels heat up slower but they also cool down slower.

    Copper fouling

Does it still shoot good with the fouling? If so, dont worry about it. What kind of barrel is it? I would have no concerns about using a brass brush with non-abrasive cleaning compounds.

Guidance on choosing a new barrel or new rifle

I'm joking. That's just what comes to mind when i see EABCO. I'm pretty sure thats where I bought a tuned up encore frame a while back. Google suggests they used green mountain barrel blanks at one time, not sure if that's still the case. Nice pricepoint on those barrels for sure, less than...

    Eldx vs evostrike

Looks pretty violent for a lead free offering. I'd have no qualms about shooting a deer with one.

    Eldx vs evostrike

ELDx are going to be violent at close range but I'd have zero fear with them penetrating sufficiently for a whitetail. Don't need Sub MOA and dont need a 7 mag for a whitetail either. It's all noise in the big scheme of things.
