Let Them Roam - A Bison Yarn

Thought the last thread on the epic Book Cliffs bison hunt was awesome, you young guys are studs. No way in hell would I even think of looking to kill a 1500# animal 8 miles from the road, way to go, keep it coming. The photos are gorgeous!

March Madness 2024 - Hunt Talk Group

Wow, that was brutal, have one team left living in the Elite 8!

Hope they stay out of foul trouble against Edey and get him into foul trouble. When they played in the Maui Invite in November definitely hadn't come together as a team. Hope today's outcome is different.

    NFA Wait Times

Ordered from SC in early November under their BOGO, got the approval on the Banish 22K a few days ago but not the Banish 223 yet, under a trust, so much for bundling. Not bad for time though, right at 19 weeks. Now if the other one comes through relatively quick.

37-9 outscored in the second with 6:12 to go, that is definitely a flame out. Hunter Dickinson is a great player, at his speed, not at Gonzaga's speed. Don't know if he was getting tired in the second half, but he sure looked slow to me. Go Zags!

See if I can keep my clean Midwest bracket, highly doubt that it will work out though.

Yeah, I wasn't one of those hold-out perfect brackets. Quite a few upsets in this years tourney.

28 Nosler off season build (will this cartridge kill an elk)?

Gonna chamber it for a 7BR or 7TCU now:)

March Madness 2024 - Hunt Talk Group

I'm still clean in the Midwest, not so much in the other regions. Kentucky took a bit of steam out but should have looked at their history. Something to be said about teams that have been playing together for a few years when it gets to March. Calipari puts together talent every year and it...

    7 PRC Feeding issues

Thanks for the tips, have Wyatt's 300 RUM box on the way.

Yeah, the bolt is a zipper, but they shoot pretty damn good, like your stock coloration better than mine.

Kind of looks like they are connected, says my bracket is complete in both and I know I only did it with @jabber's link

Guess I better join this bracket too, joined @jabber already.

    7 PRC Feeding issues

I can see the fat cartridge making a difference, is the RUM or Wyatt's box wider allowing the cases to spread out and lessen the spring tension?

    7 PRC Feeding issues

Rebarreled a Rem 700 7mm Mag to 7 PRC. Having a bit of an issue with the first round out of the mag when 3 are in there after firing the round in the chamber. That first round wants to completely jump out of the magazine and turn sideways, essentially stove-piping. Doesn't do it with...

I've got Talley lows and have a good cheek weld. Was definitely pretty high with the rail and rings initially while waiting for Talley to make rings.

A little humour for your day

Yep, tubing wrenches work a bit better, don't have to keep replacing those that you "lost".

New 30-06. Thinking about trying copper.

I'd get a box each of the Barnes 150 and 168TTSX and see which one you rifle likes best and then stock up if you don't reload. Think I heard that the 168 had a lower opening threshold, but my mind is old, and some days I have CRS:)
