Had a weird experience above alpine at 11,500’ in late October elk hunting; didn’t even know they existed in CO.
Acted like it wanted to kill me and then we had to stare down for 10 minutes. We went our separate ways - it was a weird experience.
Go with the Coastal bumper and a center hoop; have them powered coat. I did RCI for my Tacoma and loved it. Get a skid plate too.
On Tacomas it’s the body mount or UCA where rubbing happened. Just be mindful of you tire size/ offset. Great rig!!
The “average” western hunter:
- Won’t be in the woods before/after dark
- Hunts morning & evenings
- Will not hike uphill/downhill or further than 3/4 of a mile from a truck
- Hunts weekends only
- Does not have time to scout
- Does not understand forage, migratory patterns, weather, etc that...
My mom fell for a fake UPS / USPS link; asked to pay $0.03. She paid it and then they waited for a month and spent $600+ on Black Friday before fraud alerts kicked on. She wouldn’t tell us because she was embarrassed - and then it got expensive and she had to ask for help
