Christmas Trees

IMG_7726.jpeg
Tree farm the last few years because of the fires. This one is nice though, noble fir that I cut down. Tradition is to get the kids a new ornament every year, combined with all mine since I was a kid. Then my wife likes the non-led colored lights, and she got me a grinch ornament this year! Merry Christmas!

I have a DIY hunt coming up on our place. I know where they like to hang out since I planted them years ago. They are in pretty much the same place every year; very predictable. Probably go typical again as nontypical are fairly rare around here. Can usually drive right up to where it falls, so just the guttin' and gillin' and then load it up!

My cousin gets trees in every year to sell for as long as I can remember, just walked into the barn and picked out 2. Second one isn't decorated yet. These trees came from one of the Helene hard hit farms in the NC mountains.

My wife does her tree hunting solo - I'm just not that into it but its a big deal to her.

She found this little guy and tells me it was "just too cute to pass up". Poor little guy didn't stand a chance since she was armed with a Rigid Sawzaw. No traditional longbow saw for her this year - she made it quick and painless for the little guy.
