Youth 243

i bought a Savage 110 in a youth model for my daughter years ago, it is extremely accurate in 243. the last couple of years i've found myself using it during the cold days of deer hunting in Pennsylvania. with all the extra layers for sitting in a stand, i've found it to fit well, it's also lightweight, so carrying it is a breeze.

A harder chore than finding an inexpensive youth model 243 is finding one that is not up to par. Guns today are really light years ahead of when I was a kid. I'v got a couple Mossberg Patriot's, one in 243 that I love. Got the 243 first and was so impressed I turned around and got a 308 I really didn't need!

I have a Savage but I've heard a lot of good things about the Mossberg Patriot in terms of consistent accuracy from gun to gun. In the wood stock it is a pretty gun.
