Growing up it was 125 acres of SC timber out my back door....
...my first whitetail...
....three ponds full of bass and bluegills within 5 min leaving the yard...
....this was a good day, wish I knew more about catch and release back then....
That backyard is where I developed a love of all things outdoors...hunting, fishing, camping, shooting, etc...lots of freedom with room to roam...
....trying to give my kids that same opportunity as much as possible, we live in town but can find lots of outdoor adventures within a 15 minute drive....
My favorite “backyard” activities are on the River I live on. Fishing for catfish and what we call white perch and most call crappie. Trapping coons, beaver, otter, and unfortunately nutria as well is high on my list of favorite things in the River here at home.
I'm fortunate to be able to hunt huns, sharp tails, geese, deer and pronghorn (if a tag is drawn) within 5 minutes of the house. Also enjoy just hiking the fields and gullies searching for treasures.
