Why is it every time I get a tag... outfitters/meat processors/even hotels, etc. are calling me .. they know exactly where I got my tag. what unit/what dates.. G&F sells the lists..the info is out there....

I don't want or need anybody's help. Do you think I'm here for trust and help? Is that what you're here for?

Yep, unlike you, I don't know everything, I don't need to get the last word in, and I don't need to be an arrogant douche bag.

I ask people questions on all sorts of stuff, and learn from many. And there are quite a number of people here that I trust, and hopefully, they trust me.

That is great that you can be a "lone ranger" and don't need anyone, don't mind looking like a douche bag. Enjoy.

Oh there you go, resorting to immature name calling, like everybody else it seems. And just after I PM'd you and said how I was amazed that you hadn't joined in with all the other immature people on here.

I do ask advice from people on here at times, but it's more for entertainment and fun than anything else. And I would hope that people would "trust" me, and I believe most people on here would trust me, at least as much as they would any other stranger on the internet anyway.

If I do look like a douche bag, oh well. It seems you have looked like that as well, for a long, long time on here, and you're still here, and you seem to be going on with your life. So, I'm guessing being a douche bag can't be all that bad.

I,m feeling left out of this thread, so i'm just going to say;
Moosie and IB ---------------------, -----------------, ---------
WH, ya gotta know that -----, -------------------, --, -,---,-----
Camron, -------------- and -------------, -----------

there, now I feel better. I hope I didn't offend anybody

If it costs so much and it's not worth the money, why did they apply for it?

How will it cost $2000? I'm familiar with the Wyoming draw process and it sure as hell will not cost that much. Maybe spread out over 20 years it might, but what state wouldn't cost the same? If it's such a terrible tag to apply for then why do you care who knows about it? If a guy is going to apply in Wyoming and several other states every year anyway, what's the difference? Sure it may take many years to draw, but how is that different than any good tag in any other state? Buzz sometimes you just don't make a whole lot of sense.
OK I'm going to write this only one time. I hope this is the last time I have to reply to this post. It has been fun and lets just say I learned a lot from this post.

Everyone knows that wyoming started points last year. If you were not in the game from the beginning then you are behind thousands of people with points. 75% of the tags go to max point people and 25% go to everyone else including max point people. Since Oscar and I started from the beginning, we had a shot at 100% of the tags. When you guys start applying you will have a chance at 25% of the tags. Your odds are going to be 1 in 150 chance of drawing a tag since you have less then max points. Those are true numbers and odds. So you do have a chance at drawing the tag and if your real lucky it may be in 20 years or less.

I know how hard it is to draw a tag when your behind the max pool. Take arizona deer for example. I'm one behind max pool of 10. So I've been playing the game for 7 years and I'm hoping to someday draw it within the next 20 years.

You guys don't have to thank me for explaining it to you becuase like buzz said you guys already now everything. So if you guys like, go ahead and put in for this easy to draw unit. Good luck in your draws and I hope everyone at hunttalk draws some good tags. And hopefully we can get back to the reason we all come on this board in the first place and that is to see other hunters success.

Moosie, how did Idaho Bugler get 20 years? Can you get him to explain it one more time, he's your bud? I think you young guys just think 20 years, that's like a lifetime, who knows who will be here in 20 years? He just made it up, right? Did you guys really apply?

Bugler, thanks for the explanation. But you're right, I did already know all that, although I surely don't know EVERYTHING, as you and Buzz like to claim. I have never even considered applying for bull elk in Wyoming. It's too far to drive and the cost is too high. Just not worth it to me.

So, there is no need to convince me to not apply for bull elk in Wyoming. If I wanted to wait 20 years for a tag, there are units just as good here in Washington, or right next door in Oregon or Idaho. When I go to Wyoming it will be for antelope and mule deer, not elk. Well, I should say, I may hunt elk as well, but it would be with the reduced price cow tag.

I hope you guys have a good hunt.

WH, you did already know that?

Since when? Last night when YOU DIDNT KNOW THAT?

WH SAID, "If it costs so much and it's not worth the money, why did they apply for it?

I dont make sense?

Now the cost is too high, but last night you could draw it at will?

What a clown.

No, you're the clown Buzz. Don't play stupid and pretend you don't understand my post. Last night I was talking in general, and this morning I was talking about me specifically. I, myself, have no interest in hunting elk in Wyoming. That is what I am saying. I never said that tag could be "drawn at will." Did you pull that out of your ass? The odds of drawing that tag in 2005 was just over 2%, according to the Wyoming Game & Fish website. So why in the hell would you think that I thought it was an easy draw? The one thing I don't get, and never will get, is you, Buzz. Why do you always have to be such a prick???
