ihunt- Not sure what the horse population objectives are for that area, but there sure are a lot of them. Then again, I heard the Washington Office has pretty much nixed any/all gathers for the time being. It appears it was a fairly wet spring and the range in this area is in very good shape in spite of the horses.

No place to put them anyway. 47,000 in captivity @ $49mill/year.

I don't think it's as much a moratorium as it is DC not giving them the go ahead and more importantly the funding to do them.
