Looking into a Wyoming nonresident firearms doe tag but I'm haveing trouble find a unit that isn't a hunt type 6 or 8 can anyone help me out I hate to ask but I cant seem to find anything thanks for any help

What's wrong with a type 6 or a type 8? Those are the reduced price deer tags, and usually the type 6 is good for mule deer or whitetail, while the type 8 is only for whitetail. Are you wanting to hunt with a full price tag for a doe?

A type 6 is usually the reduced price license and is less restrictive?! Type 7 usually has restrictions like private only or X distance from irrigated lands.

Ok I must of mis read or mistyped I thought all the ones I read said type 7 was x miles for irrigation

You might look into HMAs and walk in areas that have private land enrolled for access to doe hunting. Those private lands would be legal for mule deer doe hunting unless specifically restricted.

Check the walkins CAREFULLY, one down the road from me is specifically posted via signs "no mule deer doe shooting", to know that you have to either drill all the way into the "more info" on the specific walk in area, or see the sign when you get there.

HMAs are the best areas, in my opinion, for any doe hunts, especially whitetail. Type 6. These are typically farm/irrigated areas and the animals are literally coming to you...

I did a WT hunt last year. It wasnt a gimme, but it was still a lot of fun. WIAs were pretty packed, even though I was there 2and or 3rd week, but I was able to find some seclusion. Good luck!

Don't let the irrigated land thing scare you away. With a little research and creativity you can get into lots of animals. Check WIAs and areas where public lands butts up against agricultural fields
