When applying for a tag with preference points does that preference point count if drawn or do you have one left for the following year?

Example apply with preference point option if you draw tag on your first choice you will receive a refund for your preference point and have 0 points going into next years draw. If you receive it on second choice you will get 1 preference point going into next years draw and you will not receive a refund.

You can buy points for all species from July 3rd to Oct 31st. You will have them for next year's draw.

Do you have to pay for a full license when you want to buy just the point after the 3rd of July, and they refund the license part later?

You just pay for the point. Elk was $50 last year, deer $40, and lope $30. Not sure if they went up this year or not. WapitiBob is correct, they will not go onsale until tomorrow. I tried to buy them this morning

No increase on anything! What was passed in the legislature was just giving the G&F the authority to increase PPs in the future to a max of $75. G&F is now asking for comments about raising the PP fess less than $5. Everything being discussed on this thread is right on the G&F website!
