Wyoming lawmakers bring two grizzly bills as future of federal protection grows murky - WyoFile
One proposal would grant some licensed elk hunters free ‘coupons,’ authorizing them to hunt for grizzlies outside the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem’s interior.

I'm never in favor of legislators managing game but the second bill by Larry Hicks makes sense to me.
“We’re just saying [to the federal government], ‘You go manage the bears,’” Hicks told WyoFile. “We’re tired of spending all of the money doing it for you.”
I'm sure it's some political posturing but as a non resident hunter in Wyoming I accept the bumps in fees and tags (I got out of the point scheme a long time ago) but I hate to see my money go to grizzly issues. The fed and bear huggers should pay for their management as long as they are listed.
