WY Area 48 Type 6

I'm debating on going back during the week of Thanksgiving to try again.

Beaglegun; could you have paid the trespass fee and gone after them? I think Orchard was 200 and Clear Creek was 150.
Spratt has a bunch of HMA ground, too.
From my understanding, this part of Orchard is a $3000 cow hunt so, NOOOOO!

I was thinking the same but it snowed about 4" when we were there and the 2 tracks were slick mud with tire cutting rocks on the sides. I'm thinking you would need an atv but I'm from KY.

I'm keeping an eye on the weather. Badwater, WY is looking like the 50's this coming week for temperature.

Clear Creek is (or was) $250 for a bull and $150 for a cow. How they get away calling it a trespass fee baffles me.

I believe the private that the elk were on was outfitted by SNS. I think that area is high dollar for cows. Not sure though. I was told not to get on Spratts land. Clear Creek are good people, just wasn't any elk when we were there but she told me that b4 I paid. I though we could find a few lost cows. Wrong again!
We watched a side by side drive up to the herd for about 2 miles and shoot, retrieve and drive back and the herd never moved!

That's wild.
I just got back from there and once again, could've filled bull tags!!
I did find out that the main herd in the bighorns that comes to those units decided to towards Buffalo, instead of to this side. That's why it was so thin.

Oh, and I did find a herd, but they were 3.5 miles away across private ground (not one of the ranches). It was either cross a creek of unimagineable depth, or walk 10 miles over several ridges just to get a shot.
There were about 75 cows, but they knew where to hang out, basically untouchable.
