I've had this for a few years now and always had big plans for it but I haven't made any progress. I figure it might be time to get it to a more serious bird hunter that can put it to use.

This is an Eduard Kettner 16 Gauge, 26.25" barrels, 2 3/4 chambers, both barrels are matching choke but not sure exactly what it is- since its a German gun I'm betting its pretty tight choke. Current stock is straight cast and it weighs in at 6 pounds, 2 ounces. The stock blank is a beautiful Claro Walnut that was cut in Arizona.

$550 for everything shipped TYD.

If anyone wanted into a solid upland double with great lines, a wonderful replacement blank and way below what it should be, then here's your gun. Schaaf is giving this one away.

Nice piece. I've got a spot it would look great in but I better not keep trying to decorate the house! You should have no problem selling it.

Just out of curiosity, would a person have to use reduced pressure loads for something of this vintage?

Nice gun. Wish you’d have posted it in like September.

Not too long ago, I would have jumped on it. Now, I have to pass. It's beautiful and I want it. Good luck on this sale.

Not at all. Full send.

I'd get the chokes opened up to IC/M though.
With my old doubles (this being the 3rd) I am following @BrentD's advice and shooting RST shells which are gentle on older guns. But they are stupid expensive -- but I only shoot at 10-12 birds a year so not a big deal in the big picture.

Choke work definitely on the action plan.

A 1 ounce loads of 7.5s is perfect for it. So is a 1 ounce loads of #5's for roosters.

Buy the less expensive stuff.

Have the smith tighten up the action if it needs it (doubtful) and shoot modern loads. It's not a delicate machine. It is robust.

Are you going to put the new stocks on it? I hope you will post pictures if you do. That gun will really be special with that extra fancy wood.

Yes - I need a lot of cast so a must do for my guns. But I am several projects behind so this may be awhile.
