Wtf??????

There is no doubt that sometimes "we" U.S. citizens will overreact to anything that appears to help illegals in any way..This might be the case here [might not] You cannot believe what goes on down here in the border states, so we have a strong distrust for anything that involves the Mexican government...they help promote "illegal" activity on both sides of the border [they want open borders]. We have had illegals carrying signs and marching on our state capitol, one sign i saw said I`m illegal and i`m here to stay! They had a phx. Police escort [for their protection] When you see this kinda stuff its hard to "trust" anything that The Mexican government proposes even if it is "legit".... They try to take advantage of every liberty they can. So we just plain can`t trust them...Nemont i understand what your saying... and for they most part your right about the "intent" and "legality".......But we don`t have a mexican military presence here.... if your refering to American G.I`s voting from other countries etc.

Hell most americans are not "aware" that we [the USA] is buiding a Social Security office in Mexico.

CJCJ,
There are at least a million ex-pat U.S. citizen living abroad who are not in the military. As long as they retain their citizenship they are allowed to vote. I believe you when you say the illegals cause massive social problems for border states. Even the state of Washington is eyeball deep in illegal aliens. We see the influence in Montana through the Meth trade. It flows out of Washington State into Montana aboard vehicle generally driven by hispanic gang members. It is then sold in the larger towns as well as the Indian Reservations. We have had Meth labs busted here in Glasgow. So I kind of understand how you view illegals. Look at some of the statements made by people in the article. They say the left because they didn't have a voice in building a stable Mexico. Maybe if they feel they had a voice in their government they would be more likely to return.

No doubt your right, they do need a voice and a vote...Vincende Fox was supposed to be the "answer" but he is one of our worst enemies...he exports criminals and misfits along with his poor countrymen to the USA.. instead of helping Mexico`s economy thru development etc. he simply equips people with backpacks and sends them north...and waits for them to send dollars back home... hardly a long term solution... but it does help them migrate even more ... it seems the PAN party is just as corrupt as the old guard [PRI]....As long as we "allow" it to happen we are screwed.....But once again you are correct.. we should have no problem with them voting....as long as "we" don`t have to pay for it.....We pay for everything else

I didn`t know that Washington/Montana had those problems.. thanks for the info. They busted a "huge" Meth ring up in Flagstaff this year and it was all tied to Mexican gangs... They are a huge problem in the USA.......Amnesty would be a "disaster"

I think CJ is a bit over reactive on this issue, glad to see he admidts he sometimes doesn't see these issues objectively.

Kinda like gun control, if there are problems with people shooting and robbing, then those people should be arrested and jailed. But there is no reason to worry about my gardner, my favorite waiter, or other hard working people I run across in daily life.

OK. According to the Mexican government we have 660000 "emmigrants" in Arizona yet we report 26% of our 6 million population is Mexican from the census. Funny cause this means that the "emmigrants" they are wanting to vote are unreported or illegals. This sounds about right as we think that around 33% of our population is hispanic. I don't support anything that makes illegals more comfortable in this country. We are being over run in the border states and our citizens are footing the medical and services bills for a group that is sending 13 billion dollars out of the country. They arent spending it here. I would support sending that 600000 "workers" to Montana, Idaho, Wyoming etc. to help out other economies though. That would be 12000 bus loads coming to your state soon.
