Just read that the wolf movement has continued. GPS tracking by CPW has revealed that at least two wolves made their way as far south as Buena Vista. Covers both sides of the Arkansas River, units 48 and 49. It will be most interesting to see what happens when the wolves discover all those deer in the region. CPW has plans to obtain an additional 15 wolves from Canada to be introduced sometime in the future. If the CPW anti-hunt folks continue with these decisions, what will happen to future hunting? I guess it's too late for natural migration.

What are 'these' decisions that the CPW folks are making?

Just read a different article about the financial cost of wolf reintroduction. Surprisingly, it's high, very high. I believe the news story stated that it's twice the amount that was sold to the voters, I'll have to find the article

That’s not CPW that was an initiative that the citizens voted on. You can’t blame CPW when they had no say.
You're correct on the vote for the original release, but what I read yesterday was for the CPW for the 15 from Canada. I totally agree with you about the vote a couple years ago. The vote from the front range!!! Thanks for the correction.

CPW has to comply with the law, as much as many of us disagree with said law(s).

Specifically in this case, section 3:

I understand, but as others have said, CPW is simply doing what they are statutorily obligated to do after the vote on Prop 114 a few years ago. It is a tough place to be in for the agency.
