Not looking for secrets, but you use a howl to locate and then move in closer to attract? Same principle as bull elk to a call, basically. Get as close as possible before giving up your position with the call? We saw a good fresh track last Sat., maybe we give it a try. I've wanted one for a long time.

I had two good winters. Got a wolf and a cat in both! Plus a couple of coyotes and a bear for good measure.

It is one of many options. It just depends on the circumstances, terrain and weather. The more you do it the more you'll get a feel for what you think will work. Good luck!
