Our youth season opens this Saturday in Louisiana, both of my kids are going! Congrats on the beautiful doe!!!!!

My 12 year old son went on his first deer hunt this morning. Only had to sit an hour and three does came out of the woods and into the briar patch our stand was overlooking.
He had some trouble finding them in the scope and I was getting worried. He found the last one as it was crossing the patch and I stopped it for him. He made a shot that dropped her on the spot with my 6.8 SPC AR.
It was nice being in the stand with him and being able to coach him..."let me know when you see them...."take the safety off... whenever you're ready..."
Got to show him how to gut it and skin it. I think I'm just as proud about the fact he is excited to eat the heart!
It's been a struggle getting him into the woods. Hopefully he gets the bug now.

Love to see the 6.8 SPC in use. I have one, will never sell it. Started with 110 Pro Hunters, then to 85 TSX, settled on 95 TTSX.
