Anyone use wind apps like Windy? Just found this app, and it seems like it could be helpful when putting on a stalk.

Nice. I’m learning you can plan routes in Windy and it will tell you the wind direction at that time of the day and along the route.

Hopefully it’s accurate!

I use windfinder for scheduling my trips to the coast. It's been accurate for wind and waves so far.

I haven't tried the paid version. It just gives you hourly forecast and more look ahead I believe!

I use it when I remember to download it from the cloud

But for a good endorsement - I first learned of the app from a small group of friends that are hardcore Kite-surfers. They use it religiously.

Thank guys! Used it today on the lake. It was super cool. Looking forward to seeing how it translates to elk hunting!
