Willing to share NM elk unit 17 for information in the Pintlers of MT?

I'm not looking to take anyone's secret spot, but I am willing to help someone get started and recommend certain areas of unit 17 in NM. I grew up there and now live closer and hunt in MT. I started hunting in the Pintlers last year and would be curious what side of the range and elevation the elk are spending their time in mid-late Sept. We typically pack in 6-10 miles on foot.

I have only hunted the north side. We see more elk the higher up we go and see very few in lower elevations. We don't
go in as far as you do (6-10 miles) but that may get you into more elk.
