I had a moose tag in that hunting unit several years ago. We hunted at a little lower elevation though...

Bob Marshall wilderness 2019. I do a summer pack trip every year and we do some trail work on the low traffic trails in the area around big prairie. the fishing is second to none and thats why we return. 4 guys in our first year, 9 in the second, and this year we have to do two trips because of the group size limit from USFS.

Unfortunately, many wilderness areas are getting less wild. This is overflow parking yesterday at one of the trailheads into the Dolly Sods Wilderness.

The picture was taken right at the outlet stream. It seemed like that cabin was burnt up when I was there last, and has since been rebuilt? Or maybe I’m thinking of the Holcomb Guard Station.
