Wild fire map

CA has a similar one... you can actually get the MODIS and VIIRS (Fire detection satellites) layers as REST APIs from NASA.
 
The onx layer for fires is also helpful. I'm sure most people know about that one by now though.

Agreed. The other page that I monitor is fsapps.nwcg.gov. It is pretty good, but not updated as quickly. It still gives the acres for the fire that my kid is on, like it was several days ago. It is a good page, though and it is interesting to follow this stuff. Tis the season, fires are popping up all over Idaho and some in Montana, Nevada,Utah, Wyoming and NM.
