Wife’s first!

I was able to pick up a reissue buck tag for my wife. I had a second choice doe tag in the draw. I am spoiled for antelope as I have access to private land in Eastern Colorado. I couldn’t make it opening weekend due to my buddy’s wedding but since I have access on all his families land I forgave him for getting married during hunting season. This extended Colorado season made it possible this year. Anyway, my wife missed several shots on Saturday on some nice bucks and so when this guy gave us a 75 yard shot she placed a perfect 100 grain .243 bullet in the perfect spot! This was her first big game animal and first anima with a rifle. Very proud ... she says she is ready for a deer now! I took a bad shot on a doe and blew out her back leg ... had to finish her off but that’s antelope hunting.
