Why might a non-firearm be carried during gun seasons?

Would cheese make it a sandwich? Tillamook perhaps?
Bandon cheese taste the same as Tillamook to me and is a bit cheaper, except Swiss. Tillamook Swiss is the best. I usually eat Umpqua anyhow. I was 65 years old before I ever saw anyone put cheese on a hotdog. I didn't even know it was a thing.

non-gun = any weapon not burning smokeless powder
Interesting and arbitrary definition. I can think of several firearms that shoot blackpowder cartridges, and I own a smokeless muzzleloader that is not legally a firearm.

a debate within a debate...nice. A hot dog by itself is called a hot dog, but a hot dog in a bun is also called a hot dog, another mystery.
A hot dog by itself is called a Frankfurter and a hotdog in a bun is not called a Frankfurter sandwich but it is still a sandwich. I buy cheap chicken hotdogs and break them up into pieces for dog treats. I call those nummies.

A piece of meat, inside bread, covered with pucky (unless you're like Big Fin) That's a sandwich. I use the term "meat" loosely.

The % of lips, snouts and eyeballs will determine if it can be classified as meat.

Usually that means less than 50% lips, snouts and eyeballs…
