Whitetail Question - Shoulder Mount or No?

Whew! I love setting high goals but anywhere outside of the Midwest will have him dead most likely before that happens! He will need to dedicate some serious time in seriously good whitetail country for that.

No different then a 350+ elk or 200+ mule deer.

All you need is Time or Money, Money always makes things easier :ROFLMAO:

I live in great whitetail country in WI and we have many deer that size with head mounts. In fact, the majority of them are that size or even smaller. If you plan on committing a whole lot of time and maybe money to get to a place that has huge bucks, then you may not want to mount him if it's not a sure thing. If you aren't, be super proud of that buck and get a head mount! Anything bigger than that, even in my neck of the woods, is usually considered a once-in-a-lifetime buck.

I personally euro everything anymore due to wall space and cost and wife. If he's a trophy to you and you see him on the wall, then shoulder mount it. If you like the look of euro and have little space or money flow, euro him and he would look great that way also.
