For decades, I had a Ruger Redhawk revolver in .44 magnum.44mag
I handloaded 240gr with Red Dot as plinker loads...after a summer and over 2,000 practice shots,
I was convinced that I was not a good enough shot to hit a softball size target bouncing towards me
at the speed of a a sprinting horse.
After witnessing how many 180 gr partitions from a magnum rifle at 30 yards
a wounded griz can take, I got rid of my .44 magnum revolver.
I sleep better with a rifle or shotgun and bear spray.
