Where to you keep your tags before and during the hunt?

WyoDoug touched on something I've often wondered. How people keep track of their tags.

I got a Tradeshow nametag holder with a pocket when I took a Bowhunter Safety class. I used it to keep all my licenses and tags in one place. Before I bowhunted I just put them in my Shell pouch.

Right now my November deer tag is sitting on my night stand and my local one is in my truck console...

All of my licenses stay in a folder in my filing cabinet. Once Im actually hunting I put them in a part of my pack that I’m never opening until I kill something.

Before season I use a magnet to hold them on my safe, during season in the bino chest back

immediately into the bino harness. Can't forget to take it and can't lose it that way because I'm without the Bino harness, I'm lost and hopeless anyways...

Pre season they are in their envelopes with species written in LARGE letters on the outside on my work bench in the garage. While hunting they go into a small waterproof pouch with a sharpie rolled in gorilla tape and small zip ties. That pouch goes into my "kill kit" (knives, game bags, etc) which is a MR zoid bag. That bag stays in one of the side pods in my MR all season.

Bino harness is a great idea. I usually keep everything in its own bag in my pack. Zip ties two knives, saw, game bags and my tag. I have to say I'll he switching to bino harness now that makes more sense.

My Colorado elk tag is in the top drawer of my dresser. During the hunt it’s in a small ziplock bag in the side pocket of my pants. After the hunt, hopefully it’s on a critter but the rest goes in a scrap book with all of my past licenses. 11 states for hunting and 20+ for fishing so far.

Qt ziplock, each state is labeled then when I starthunt I out it my kill kit bag. If back and forth between states they get stored in that upper glove compartment in truck. Never change no exceptions that way I don't lose them
